Security Council Press Statement on Terrorist Attack in Suruc, Turkey
The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack of July 20 in Suruc, Turkey, killing at least 31 and injuring over 100 people.
The members of the Security Council extended their condolences to the families of the victims and their sympathy to all those injured in this heinous attack, as well as to the people and the Government of Turkey who lost its citizens in this attack.
The members of the Security Council wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
The members of the Security Council underlined the need to bring perpetrators of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice.
The members of the Security Council reaffirmed the need to combat by all means, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts, and that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed.
